Home staging is the process of preparing a home for sale by making it look its best. This includes decluttering, rearranging furniture, and adding decorative touches to make the home more appealing to potential buyers. While home staging can be expensive, it doesn't have to be. There are a number of ways to stage a home on a tight budget. For example, decluttering can be done for free by simply getting rid of unwanted items. Furniture can be rearranged to create a more spacious and inviting look, and inexpensive accessories can be used to add color and style. With a little creativity, it is possible to stage a home on a tight budget or simply use our Style Now Pay Later option.
Tax deductible home staging costs can be claimed as a rental expense in Australia. This applies to both furnished and unfurnished properties. If you are renting out your property short-term (less than 3 months), you can claim a deduction for the cost of renting furniture and other items used to stage the home. If you are renting out your property long-term, you can claim a deduction for the cost of hiring a professional home stager. These deductions can be significant, so it's important to keep track of all expenses incur while staging your home.
